Reunion shows are often some of the hottest tickets you will find. These concerts are from big name bands or musicians of the past who have gone back out on tour once again. Sometimes these groups are coming out of retirement, sometimes they are bands that broke up years ago, but have since gotten back together. Either way, it is the fan that benefits when this happens.
Who’s on Tour?
There are a lot of big names from the past that are currently out on tour or will be starting a string of concerts in the near future. Some of these include Alice in Chains, Hootie and the Blowfish, Elton John, Billy Joel, Barenaked Ladies, and Toby Keith. All of these groups were huge names a couple decades (or more) ago yet are still out on tour or have recently come back into the world of performing live.
You can bet that these shows will be popular. Wherever you go to see a show, tickets for these bands are likely to sell out. You might be one of the lucky ones that can get tickets as soon as they go on sale, but odds are you won’t be able to do this. One Time Shows
One night only shows are some of the hardest tickets to find. These are shows where the performers will not be heading out on a tour, but rather playing one, or even a handful, of shows just to give their fans a treat. A lot of retired musicians and groups that have been busy recording or taking a hiatus from live shows do this. Sometimes, years after our favorite bands call it quits, they get back together for a short while in this regard. If you have a band in mind that has recently announced a show or two, these tickets will be incredibly popular—and hard to find.
For example, the Spice Girls recently announced that they would be giving a one-time show in Plymouth in the UK. At this point, you can only really get tickets if you win them or buy them online. Both of those things are pretty tough to do, but someone has to go to the show. If you’re a fan of this 90s girl group, then it’s definitely worth trying.
Rumors
There are rumors of other big names that might be headed out on tour soon. For one, Van Halen might be reuniting for a few shows. As of right now, this is just conjecture but it would definitely seem fitting, especially because so many other 80s groups have done the same in recent years. Van Halen was one of the biggest rock groups at one point, and a reunion tour would definitely be a hot selling ticket. If only the members of the group can get along long enough to agree to do so!
Another performer that rumors are currently flying about is Christina Aguilera. She has publicly spoken about another fellow 90s star—Britney Spears—and has stated that it’s inevitable that they will perform together once again. Will this happen in 2019? We have no idea. But if it does, you can be assured that it will be one of the biggest events of the year. Act early if this is a show that you want to see.
